First Road Bike

    Hi

    I'm looking to buy my first road bike through the cycle scheme. I have a budget of around €1k. I've narrowed down the Trek 1.2/1.5 and Specialized Allez so far. Is there any other models that I should consider which are equivalent to these models. I would like to try as many bikes as possible before I purchase and don't have any preference on brands.

    I will be cycling mainly to work during the week and some cycling at the weekend.

    You will get more replies if you put this in the correct section. Also there are at least 3 threads like this a week with people asking the same question so might be beneficialto do a seach and read the numerous threads. Personally I find the major brands bad value for money, trek, spech, giant.
