Car for OH - €1,000

    Hey All,

    My missus is looking for a car, just as a run around so doesn't want to spend more than €1,000. I've been left the task of finding the right one for her and so far I've found these.

    Colt

    Alfa 166

    Renault Laguna

    Pug 406

    Fiesta

    Personally, I'm steering toward the Fiesta. It was my first car and had no trouble what so ever with her. There's also NCT til next year and tax til next month.

    If anybody has any opinions on the others I would love to hear them.

    Fiesta or Polo certainly none of the rest or you would want your head examined if its only a runabout.

    I'd go for the Fiesta. I also had a fiesta as my first car and it never gave a minute of trouble. Great little run-about and its always the first car I recommend in this situation.

    Same here.... i still have the fiesta, not an ounce of trouble from it.

    Fiesta is probably the best shout alright, maybe take a look at Clio or Punto too. All 3 can be bought and ran for pretty cheap

    Wexford is a bit out for us (Dublin) but that is a great motor. Taxed an NCT'd til next year.
