    Hey everyone,

Just looking for some advice. I recently have been fitted for monthly lenses (Proclear toric Rx) I am currently on my 2nd trial pair from local opticians as previous ones were too big for my eyes.
so the problem is that I lost one of my trial lenses it fell down the plug hole yesterday! Rang local optician and ordered one lense but they cannot tell me even an approx date when they will get it in stock. Last time I was waiting 3 weeks and had to ring to push delivery. Is this per usual? A friend told me it takes 4 days to get lenses in Specsavers if they don't have it in stock.

Where do I stand here as regards my prescription? Am I entitled to my prescription and go else where to get contact lenses? Bear in mind that it was a trial pack and that they did not see them in my eyes because I lost the lense on my second wearing and was due to see them this week for a check up. I urgently need contacts and was wondering if I could ask for my prescription and then go to Specsavers and order from them or would I have to be fitted again etc?

    Thanks :)

It normally takes about 10 days to get that type of lens made up.

I would be asking in Specsavers directly if you can get them lenses as quick as your friend says. It's very easy to say it takes 4 days then you hand over your money and hey presto your waiting 10 days for your lenses.
