WRC Mexico - Free ESPN coverage this weekend

The second round of WRC 2011 is starting Thursday. It's the first gravel rally of the season and I'm really looking forward to it. Mexico can be a punishing rally on the car. There were a lot of punctures in Sweden there could be even more in Mexico. It will also be very interesting to see how the new 1.6 units will perform at the high altitudes reached in Mexico.


I'm really hoping Solberg can do well and push hard for a good podium finish. I'd love a Solberg, Hirvonen, Latvala 1.2.3. as unlikely it sounds
Fingers crossed it will be as exciting as Sweden.

Petter down to 11th with engine trouble, it looks like he may be out for the rest of the day. Maybe Superrally tomorrow. Ogier takes the lead from Loeb.

Should be a good fight between Loeb and Ogier, most other places look secure unless they are some technical issues. Petter solberg plans to go all out on the Power stage to get the bonus points. Hopefully he will keep it between the ditches

Ogier had an off on SS20 and broke his front left wheel, his rally is over. Hands the lead to Loeb.

Volkswagen annouced they are competing in the wrc from next season. Good news! That of course means they probably wont enter F1.
