Hi folks,Im new in this site and have couple questions about my tax back.
First thing is about Rent1 form. Everytime i fill in this form and send(using PAYE or post) to Revenue, they send my back a P21. What thats mean? Because its funny thing I got three different P21 for 2010.First was underpayment 300e,second was overpayment 3c and last one was underpayment 40c. How thats can be? I earn 27k last year and paid tax 5k,is that seems ok for single person. Thanks

A P21 is a summary of your income and tax for the year. It shows the overall balance of your tax situation using the most current data for income and tax credits/ cut-off point values which the Revenue Commissioners have on record about you. Your current P21 shows that you owe the Revenue the princely sum of €0.40- I somehow think that it may be written off by the Revenue Commissioners, even in these straitened times :-)

On your annual income of €27000 in 2010, your total tax charge of €5000 (which I'm guessing probably includes the various levies and PRSI) seems rather high. However, without knowing your exact tax details, a precise answer can't be given to you. You could download my tax spreadsheet to enter your details to see if it gives you a better idea of what the tax and other deductions would be expected to be.

I just check my P21 and it shows follow:
    Income 27,672.
    Tax Due 27,672 @ 20% = 5,534.
    Tax Credits 4,130.
    Tax Deducted 1,404.

    My personal tax credit 1,830
    Paye 1,830
    Union 70
    Rent 400.

And thats finally come to 40c underpayment.
    Is that seems correct
And how can be three different P21? Thanks for your help;)
