Hi,

I've seen a secondhand car on carzone.ie but it is being sold privately.
I have never bought a secondhand car before & have heard stories about how risky it can be doing it via a private sale.
Can anyone advise on a good mechanic to check it out (& how much they cost)?
Any other general information re. terms of sale or things to watch out for would be much appreciated!
