We can still have the easter bunny, though, right?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Actually, I'm with rossa morbeg on this.

I don't see why it's OK to tell children bare-faced lies.

Down with this sort of thing.

While we can't prove santa does exist. Remember you can't prove that he doesn't exist.

    HA!

Now what do you have to say!

Without Santa rewarding you for being good and punishing you for being naughty - where do you get your morals?!

I'll tell you what I say...

I don't have to prove whether he does or doesn't exist. If you genuinely believe that he exists, then by all means go ahead and tell your children about him.

If however you don't believe he exists and you tell your children that he does, then you are lying to them.

I see your HA! and raise you a NYAH!

Come on, give 'em a little bit of magic in their lives before they grow up and realise life is just a series of banal events and then you die.

I remember waking up as a little lad and being convinced I heard Santy on the roof with his reindeer, hindsight it was probably a burglar.

And while you're at it, teach them that they can trust no-one, not even their parents, not to deceive them.

All that I'm saying is that I am merely going to convey to the children the simple idea that they cannot confirm or prove the existence of anything outside of their subjective conscious experience of the phenomenal universe and should use their own best judgment in determining Santas obvious existence which everyone else seems to accept, although they are free to think otherwise.

I refer you to my previous post. If you truly believe that Santa's existence is obvious, and should be accepted as true (even if only because everyone else does), that's one thing.

If you don't believe it, but tell your child that you do, then you are lying.

Eat your weetabix son, they'll make you big and strong.

Eat your weetabix son, the vitamins and fibres they contain are vital for a healthy balance of your digestive tract.

What do you think works best on a kid?

It's a white lie and being a former kid, I enjoyed it while it lasted. No grudges towards my folks for bull****ting me on many occasions.

Are you the person who told his nieces/nephews that Santa doesn't exist and announced it in a thread here? Why should you have any objection to what anyone else tells their child whether it's true or not when it clearly is non of your business. If parents telling their children that Santa exists really bothers you so much that you have to point it out multiple times on the Internet then I actually feel sorry for you. It's honestly a little sad.

If on the other hand you're just the usual troll, then yore ma or something...
