Is there much of a difference? Would go for iPhone but the Desire is nice and affordable if I opt for Meteor!

bit strange to be choosing between two completely different phones based on the difference in their battery!.

not really, they may be completely different phones and OS's, but most of the apps these days are the same, so on the surface, unless you go digging into the OS, android and IOS will provide the user with a platform to install and use apps...along with normal phone functions...

as for battery, i'd say there isn't much in it...you'll get a day out of both with moderate usage....

Going by my gf's experience the iPhone 4 has a far better battery. HTC are fairly hopeless when it comes to batteries And I don't understand why they're not working on it. There was an article on engadget this week that said the thunderbolt was delayed owing to the fact it was only getting about three hours of life on 4g.

Dont have the Desire in office here but do have an iPhone 4 and the battery is terrible on it as well.

i rooted my desire +use juicedefender and i do get 2 days out of it now.. but thats still annoying...
games eat into the battery completely though. except a recharge playing 3-4 hours of a game...

the iphone 4 has a 600Mhz processor no>? so should give better battery life i would have assumed..
i really do love the desire though. awesome phone. i have never had an iphone so cant compare really..
my personal preference will be for teh samsung galaxy s II when it comes out though i reckon...

also you can pick up a bigger capacity battery online for 20-40 euro not sure and apparently they do double usage times
