    Hey everyone

We are heading for a family holiday to Los Cristianos for the last 2 weeks of June this summer. We are trying to do it on a budget..So I have a few questions for anyone that can help.

    - How much is a reasonable amount of spending money for a family of 4 in self catering apartment.Obviously not including parks etc.
    - Any good suggestions for restaurants etc.
    - Any good " day outs " at reasonable prices??
    - I would really like to go to Mount Teide but looking at cable car prices and buses to get there it seems to get expensive. Is there any good prices available anywhere for it?

I was there when I was kid with my parents but cant remember anything but the swimming pool :D:D:D
Thanks for any info you can give.

    Hi there.

Los Cristianos is beautiful so i'm sure you'll love it. I can't really advise on spending money i'm afraid as i don't know your plans but if you get some rolls from the supermarket for lunches on the beach, that'll save money but invest in a cooler bag. (We usually bring a bottle of sparkling wine too but perhaps you're more civilised :D)

For a toasted sandwich or something like that there's a place called miramar (nice & very reasonable) just up from the beach & you can sit outside & watch the world go by.

There's also a pub called the Devon Arms it's just one street up from the street across from the beach they do a fairly good Sunday lunch 2courses for 10 euro or something like that (it's an english bar but owned by two Irish people so it's good craic) Also there's a lovely restaurant at the very end of that street called La Fortuna.

As for the parks, if you have kids & they want to go to Siam Park it's quite expensive but you can easily spend the day there. There's a man made beach in there for adults to enjoy if you're not brave enough for the rides. Also as far as i know you can get a special ticket that works between that & Loro Parque (in Puerto Cruz about an hour away) Loro Parque is well worth a visit too so the ticket should be good value. It's cooler up in the North of the island though so bring a jumper!
As for Mount Teide I haven't got around to visiting that myself yet but always want to, so afraid no help to you on that.

As a final piece of advice, maybe go to the places in the North of the island on a day that's cloudy down the South, because unfortunately there's never a guarantee on the weather. Also there's loads of free things to see, just hop on the bus & visit Los Gigantes (huge cliffs) it's about 45 minutes away. Also La Caleta is a little fishing village..lovely for fresh seafood. There's so much to see & do i could be here forever!

    Have a lovely trip!
