connecting second tv to Sky HD box

I have bought a second TV to hang on my wall (10 month old threatening to pull the 50 inch down on top of himself!). My sitting and living rooms are back to back, so I just run a cable from RF outlet 2 on back of box, through hole in wall and into back of second tv. I already had an old second tv connected to the sky box without any problems. So I set up my new TV (Samsung 42" in case it matters) in place of the old TV to make sure every thing works, tv is fine, actually suprised at how good the quality of picture is with just coaxal cable.

So I move my main tv including sky box into the sitting room and hang the samsung in its place, connect all cables and run cable through wall into back of new tv, reception is a lot poorer than before but watchable, after a time the reception disappears and "no signal" appears on the screen.

    I have so far:
    1. bought a new cable and asked advice in elec shop, was told to ensure I'm plugged into RF2, fitted that.
    2. cursed!
    3. Traced all cables making sure everything is connected properly
    4. cursed some more...

And now I'm asking....PLEASE someone help, this thing is driving me nuts I'm pretty sure it's not the new tv as it worked before I swapped the tvs around, also the remote "eye" isn't working in case that is a clue, the other tv is working perfect in the other room.

Firstly check the connections at both ends and make sure they are connected properly.

In order to get a magic eye working you must have the rf2 power switched on.

You havent specified what box you have...

    New Sky+ Box Black
    Press Services
    Press 0,0, 1 then select
Press No 4...to get to rf outlets
Turn rf power to on and perhaps change the rf channel.
Retune tv if you change rf channel., check light on magic eye is on.

Old sky plus box or standard box
    Press services on remote
    Press 4, 0 1 select
    then option 4.

    Follow above..

    hope that helps.

    Thanks for the swift reply!

The guy in the shop told me a bout turning the RF outlet power on, that was on when I checked it, its a sky+ HD box by the way, what does changing the RF channel do? might try that (won't be home for a few days to try it) what I don't understand is it was working fine until I moved the tv into the other room which led me to believe I must have connected something wrong on back of box when reconnecting.

Aaaaargh, just got a phone call from the missus, the other TV is now playing up, it isn't giving any info on the channels when you press i, and loosing signal altogether until you turn the box off and on again, its obviously connected to my original problem, anyone any ideas?
