How much of the Irish diaspora could be fitted into the island of Ireland ?

    If you take it there are an estimated 80 million people worldwide of Irish descent so how much of that figure do you think Ireland could sustain with our landmass without the country becoming overpopulated ? IMO it would be about 25 million people. No more than that. Your thoughts ? :confused:

    What does overpopulated even mean?
    If the whole country was as built up as densely as county Dublin (including the rural parts) is now, Ireland would have a population of over 90 million people.

    There would probably be about 89 million unemployed, because there would be absolutely nothing for them to do.
