Film Course Portfolio?

    I was thinking of doing the film cours in GMIT? What excatly is needed in the portfolio? Im pretty could a editing and good at adobe after effects,just what is needed in the portfolio?

    Its up to you what you include, they're just looking for genuine interest and potential, and that you'll take the course seriously I think!

    Both editing and after effects are good things to be able to show them, so just make a video and be prepared to tell them a bit about about yourself and why you want to do film & tv or whatever.

    It depends who interviews who, you could get someone asking you really technical questions about what films you like and why you like them, other interviewers wont look for the same detail. They'll want to know what you have done in your owntime that makes you stand out from other candidates etc. Prepare your favourite films and why, try think of technical reasons why you like them too. As for the film, I doubt they care a lot of what it's actually about but more about how it's edited etc.
