Fianna Fáil set to re-brand & re-image ... possible name change?

    There have been rumours aflout that Fianna Fáil might change it's name before the next general election, what do you think they'll re-brand themselves as?

    Dibs on "The Chernobyl Resettlement Party".

    What about the Democratic Alliance Party ? I think that would be a good name for a political party !

    Though if Martin doesn't manage to reform the inner workings of the party it'll probably still be called the "Fat Cats Club".

    Crucially, they will have to actually get some ideology together. This was put to Martin and he seemed to accept it.

    Traditionally, FF were the party with the vision, just so long as you never asked what that vision was. Now that spell for most people has been broken, possibly never to return.

    I'm sure FF will come back - they always do - but they cannot function as they did before i.e. the party of power that doesn't need to have any particular views beyond "whatever you're having yourself".
