Vistax64 - Files now appearing in descending not ascending order - Help!

I save out TIFF files from Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw to folders on my HD.

    The files are named. e.g. Dinarius_01.tiff > Dinarius_20.tiff

Up to a few days ago, the files ALWAYS appeared in the saved folder in ascending order. e.g. from 01 > 20

For some reason I cannot fathom, they have started appearing in desending order. e.g. from 20 > 01.

This means that the last photograph I shot appears first, which is most annoying.

I have no idea what I might have done to change this.

Could someone please tell me how to make files appear in folders in ascending order by default? Please! :o

    Thanks.

    D.

    Click "Name" at the top

In the file listing, there are column headings. Click on the "Name" column heading to change the sorting of the list.

Still not working for me. :(

As an experiment, I'm doing the following:

Creating a folder in the HD called Test.

Clicking the Name tab so that the little arrow points upwards.

Saving three numbered files to the Test folder.

They appear 3,2,1 instead of 1,2,3.

If I try the experiment again so that the arrow points downwards, I get the same result!

So, it seems that making an ascending sequence the default option is not simply a case clicking the Name tab.

When I hold the mouse cursor over the Name tab, another arrow appears on the right of the tab offering three other options: Sort Group. I-P and Stack by name. Should I be using one of these?

Sorry for being thick, but this is driving me nuts!

    Thanks.:)

Apologies for posting again without a reply to my previous post, but I think I've solved the problem and it's far from obvious - at least to the likes of me :D so, it may be of use to someone else in the future.

It appears that Vista can 'forget' folder settings and they have to be reset.

There are two solutions offered in this link http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70819-windows-explorer-folder-view-settings.html

The first one seems to have worked for me. i.e. Control Panel/Folder Options/View Tab/Reset Folders
