Im going away looking at a 406 hdi later on today I have never had any thing to do with a peugeot diesel before. All my previous cars have been Vag tdis.
So is there any common problems to watch out for on them?
    Thanks.

i hear....the hdi engines are brilliant, but the electrics on the 407, and indeed most french cars, can be mind boggling.

The 406 is given to niggling electrical problems. By way of compensation, it's a much nicer drive than the B5 Passat.
