Insurance on import (England)

    Hey, just imported car from the UK, wondering does anyone know if I can get insurance on it, before I re-register it?

    On that note, does anyone know roughly who is cheapest for first time insurance? I just rang Axa for the second time in 5 days and their quote went up by 500 euro!! WTF

    An Irish insurer will give temporary cover on a UK-registered car over the phone - you should have done this before collecting the car. Re who'se cheapest for insurance, that depends on the proposer. As always, you need to shop around for the best quote for you.
