Drugs Payment Scheme

I went to the chemist this morning and needed prescriptions exceeding the €120 per month so the girl in the Chemist put it through under the Drugs payment Scheme where an individual or family in Ireland only has to pay €120 each month for approved prescribed drugs, medicines and certain appliances for use by that person or his or her family in that month.
This is the first time I've used this scheme and I just got back home and didnt think to ask , does anyone know what way the month timeline works , as today is the last day of February , am I only covered for February or is it until the 28th of March.
    Thanks In Advance.

It's per calendar month. So you've bought them on the last day of the month.

Oh you're joking me ?? You'd think the chemist would have told me to wait til tomorrow

Hey Karen, You could bring back the stuff and just get it again tomorrow, or if the people in there are decent they'll just put the paperwork through for you tomorrow, give em a ring and ask, we always did that where I worked.. but it may depend on the pharmacy.. its worth a try though.. right?

It's your responsibility to know tbh, not the fault of the chemist.
Phone the chemist and ask if the date of the presciption can be changed.

Thanks , I rang the chemist and shes going to keep the paperwork until tomorrow. She said she never noticed the date herself and she would have told me had she realised. Its the first time I've used this scheme to I wasnt sure how it worked but I'll know for next time.
Thanks for all your help guys ;)
