Academy Awards Fashion

What do you all think of the academy awards fashion last night? :)Cream/neutral and red seemed to be the big colours of the night. Personally thought the globes was better. Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman were the winners for me. Anne Hathaway looked stunning in all of her eight outfit changes. Helena Bonham Carter toned it down in black as did Reese Witherspoon and Sharon Stone.

Only seen scraps but Mila Kunis looked amazing, that colour and the shape of the dress, esp. the neckline, just gorgeous. Michelle Williams looked lovely too, as did Amy Adams in the navy sequin number.

I'd hoped Helena would be a bit battier, with a stuffed bird or the likes in her hair, but she still looked great, I loved the sleeves of her dress and the union jack garter was a nice touch!

I'm a little unimpressed with Natalie Portman actually. But she always looks stunning regardlessly. And Helena Bonham Carter managed to look a little frumpy, I thought.
But yes, Mila Kunis' dress is amazing, and I thought that Scarlett Johansson and Halle Berry looked beautiful. Lots of lace and delicate fabrics.

Really liked Michelle Williams even though she's appeared on a few worst dressed lists today,,

Portman played it a bit too safe but I guess being heavily preggy made it difficult.

She looks nice but I expected more as far as dresses go. I preferred her dress at the Globes.

I didn't like Amy Adams' dress when I saw it on film, but it looks really fabulous in every photo I've seen.

I loved Hailee Steinfeld's dress! I think Perez Hilton was right is saying that it was "age appropriate". She's very young, but looked so glamorous.

Hated Scarlet's dress, shape, colour, everything! I like Amy Adam's dress, but she wore it all wrong. It didn't need that much jewelry, just white diamond earrings would have been enough, and hair off her face.

Leslie Mann looked beautiful.

Wow, I never thought I'd admit to liking something worn by Mandy Moore, but I quite like this, esp. around the shoulders.

I agree Twee, I really didn't like Amy Adams necklace, was too distracting with the sequins and high neckline.

I wasn't that impressed with much of the fashion this year - again, I thought some of them looked better at the globes.........I liked Sandra Bullock's red dress, and thought that Helen Mirren was one of the best dressed of the night for me - I really really don't like Scarlett J's dress, but I thought that Natalie Portman looked beautiful and what about Penelope Cruz - who looked spectacular in her dress, barely a month after giving birth!

Mila Kunis was my favourite for sure, the colour was amazing. I actually got a bit tired of seeing the same trends over and over, though. There were a lot of long red dresses and then creamy, lace dresses as well. I thought Scarlett Johanson was looking well in her dress actually, even though Kelly Osbourne and that other one from E didn't like it at all, they said it didn't "pop".


Anne Hathaway again was looking really good, and so was James Franco he had a lovely suit on! Madonna was awful, but her daughter was looking good! Defiantly thought that the worst dressed person was Helena Bonham Carter. Everyone was saying about amazing and unique her dress was but I really didn't like it, at all. If anyone else had been wearing it people would've complained about it... She had a union jack garter on as well!

Mila Kunis was beautiful !

Apparently Natalie Portman (who is Jewish ) had planned on wearing Dior but changed her mind due to John Gallianos anti-Semitic remarks . I'm sure due to the timing she had a huge rush to find and get a dress tailored to her shape. So , for that reason she is my winner - Stunning !

I'm unsure about the bust of Mila Kunis' dress - someone on another site summed it up well saying the lace looked a bit too much like pasties!

I absolutely loved Jennifer Lawrence's outfit - completely jealous!

It's very like a dress Scarlett Johansson wore last year, can't remember what awards ceremony it was for though.

I thought Mandy Moore looked like an old hollywood actress, I think with Anne Hathaway her dresses during the show were quantity over quality, She wore two dresses that looked quite similar and ill fitting apparently she paid a stylist a fortune to style her for the night. Madonna and her daughter looked dreadful, very tacky for the event.

Oops - sorry saw the black dress on another website and thought that was the one for 2011. Though I really like this dress as well.

Overall was a bit disappointed with the dresses. Nobody really stood out (for the right reasons).

I really didn't like Mila's dress, it would be nice in a different material maybe. It just looked like ripped crepe paper or something.
