Nice media player on Ibood

    Hey guys just to let you know the Mede8er MED500X is on Ibood today for good money. I have just bought one and its going to replace my argosy unit I got from Ibood last year.
    Only reason I got it was the fact it has the option for film info and art work which the Argosy doesnt.

    yeah, was tempted by it but it does not support DTS audio so that would just lead to problems for me, shame looked nice

    According to the link it does support DTS, passthrough or downmix.

    It also claims to support bitstreaming of DTS-HD and TrueHD.

    Personally i'd be looking at the newer generation of players, Xtreamer Prodigy uses the Realtek 1185 and it should come in at €150 or less. (can't see them charging more because they have a dual-core Ion box coming in at €199).

    And if film info and artwork is a priority, id probably be keeping an eye out on the Sigma-based players, Sigma did a port of XBMC which they are going to provide to vendors as their reference UI on future chipsets.
