    hi
does anyone know what our prsi entitlements are for the dentist.
reason i ask is after a recent visit with a consultation and x-ray i was charged 50euro.
i queried this the following day with her secetary who was unable to give me a satisfactory answer.
the following day i recieved a call from another dentist in the same practice who asked me to come back in, which i did.
i was given another consultation and x-ray and not charged as he said he was doing this as a goodwill gesture.
    all seems a bit odd!!!

Why did you allow them to x-ray you the second day?

    Forgot to answer your question
If you have made sufficient contributions you are entitled to one examination a year.

first dentist visit was in dublin where i was quoted nearly 3000euro.
second visit was because it was a goodwill gesture on their behalf.
i then went to dentist in NI for second opinion.
happy with them and i have been back twice since.
i have another 3 appointments in NI which i will also be going to.

they offered and i had no intention of using them again anyway.
and it was free as a goodwill gesture.
