imtermittant Ibiza stereo problem

    hey guys, Im having trouble with my 00 ibiza stereo. its started cutting out periodically, maybe on for 6 seconds then dies for 2 then back on for 6 and so on..

    happens with both the radio and cassette deck. back left speaker also makes quite a pop when it cuts out so I disconnected it.
    I just removed the unit and popped open the case, nothing is disconnected or getting hot.

    anyone got an idea? or looking to sell one?

    Quite possibly a fault with the set itself. But before you condem it, check connections to the unit. A poor earth or live will give same problem. Does the face go dark when the radio cuts out?

    ah yeah forgot to mention that, the faceplate doesnt change at all when it cuts out.
