Small Wedding venue

There are so often threads here asking for recommendations of small wedding venues in or around Dublin. Mods move if you think there is a suitable place as I didnt know where to put this.

I have just come home from covering a christening, the party was held in the Anglers Rest on the Strawberry beds. The parents had a sit down meal for Id say over 80 people upstairs and it was absolutely stunning. The room was beautiful and with tablecloths and decorations looked very much like a wedding reception and the seating by the bar is all quite intimate also. I would highly recommend it, all the guests were very pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous it turned out to be. If anyone is interested I will post some pics of the room laid out when I go through them tomorrow.

I have been in the Anglers Rest before but never upstairs, the barman did tell me it was recently refurbished as it used to be a disco bar or something upstairs. Very old style decor and furniture and would definitely be something different to the norm.

Have to agree about all the venue treads Rachel, may be no harm making a Wedding venue's sticky???

I've done a couple of weddings there and its is indeed a lovely place.
Quite cramped from a dj/band point of view but great nonetheless.

Beaufield Mews is nice for a small party, did a wedding there last week with 140 but if the fire inspector came in they would close the place down. I would reckon it would be suitable for 20 upwards to 100
