As the title says. I was wondering who has won their seat with the lowest percentage of first preference votes within their constituency? Maybe also who got the lowest actual first preference votes in the country who has been elected?

The percentage varies from constituency to constituency, depending on the number of seats.

All of this information is on the RTE website:

    http://www.rte.ie/news/election2011/results/index.html

Robert Troy (FF)(Longford-Westmeath) was elected with only 7.4% of 1st Preference votes. There are at least 4 candidates in 'still-counting' constituencies who could be elected with less than 8% of 1st Preference votes...
