Political change and reform

So all the ballyhoo , mud slinging and dirty dancing of the election is over (nearly) , so how will we know if the parties and new government are serious about political and Dail reform.
Quite simple really , the litmus test will be if they decide to disappear again for nearly four month's on holidays this summer , like they did last year ,when the Country was really going thru the mill.
If Enda and Eamonn are really serious about change in the Dail , one of the first decision's of the new government , should be to reduce the Dail's summer recess/holiday to 2 week's in line with the leave entitlement's of the ordinary worker's of this Country, not that the vast majority of worker's will be able too or even afford a summer break this year.
Yes indeed , that will be the true litmus test as an indicator ,as too just how committed our new leader's are to political change-the clock start's ticking now.

I'd be inclined to think the punishment handed out to FF in this election is the reform needed, I doubt if the voting public will be so lazy in their selection in the future - that IMO was the biggest problem (politically) this country had.

So their off , Dail 31 has lifted off , will we see any CHANGE - will it be re run's of previous episode's , same ole , same ole routine - half a dozen Td's showing their face's for the camera's after Taoiseach's question's are over ,and asking a few question's , just so there'll be some thing to talk about on Oireachtas Report, and for some Td's to prove to their constituent's , that their still alive.
Well, will it be back to mon + fri off , midweek game's of golf (non policy making), and slipping in to the chamber(with a thick file in hand) , every now and then between visit's to the Dail bar, so every body will think ,your doing some thing important.
We'll just have to wait and see, but a good indicator , as I said above is will they take a dive for nearly 4 month's ,this summer , like they did for the last 2 year's in particular ,when the country was going down the tube's, or will we be shocked to see Enda and Eamonn wearing teashirt's more shocking than Mick Wallace's , while Gerry +Micheal pass out the ribena +munchies , while Ming has them rolling in the isles - I can just see it now - Pat Rabbitte trying to rub suntan oil on Clare Daly , Joan Burton in a red bikini , anyhoo what do you think ?
