    Hi all,

I was on the Ian Dempsey breakfast show on Thursday and won a weekend in the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis.

I am thinking of bringing the two kids, a one year old and six year old but was wondering is there much to do for 3 days?

I am thinking maybe a spin to the Burren, head to Lahinch and check out Bunratty but any other recommendations would be appreciate - gonna wait until May to go

    Thanks

Plenty to do ! You could go to the beach in Kilkee or Lahinch, go out to Loop Head, visit the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. Go to Limerick and visit King Johns Castle, the Hunt Musuem and many more. Kids might prefer the beach though !

Ailwee Caves are good for kids. Doolin Cave is a bit more suitable for adults.

In the Lahinch area if the weather is good you also have Moher Hill Farm (moherfarm.ie) & there is a new Playground near the beach which I've heard is really good.
In Ennis if the weather is bad there is Barneys Kidz Club. Check out clare.ie for loads more

Bunratty Castle and Folk park, (particularly the folk park) is great as a family outing.

There are some lovely beaches in Clare, Lahinch, Kilkee and Spanish Point are probably the best known

Moher Hill Open Farm is located in Liscannor just outside Lahinch, it is a fabulous place to take kids. My four year old loves the place :)

Dromoland Castle Estate has nice walks and a beautiful walled garden and it is free to the public.

There are lots of beautiful places in East Clare, like Killaloe, O'Briensbridge and Mountshannon but they are a bit away from your (Ennis) base.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful visit to the Banner county :)
