I am hungry so maybe I'll get some inspiration from you guys :)

I'm partial to toasted cheese and onion sandwiches but I think I've had my fill of them lately!

    I love the following.

Ham, cheese and onion toastie (done in the George Foreman)

Crunchy Nut cereal with ice cold milk

    Crackerbarrel cheese and ryvita crackers

    Ham in jacobs cream crackers

Melted cheese on bread (not sliced bread though, it has to be something like this; http://www.kitchenofliz.ie/images/brown_bread.jpg )

Rashers in white bread or toast

Cold toast with a scraping of butter

Salad sandwich (ham, lettuce and scallions/onion)

And maybe a packet of crisps or something, depending on how hungry I am.

Cold toast with a scraping of butter

Never understood this – with cold toast you don't get the lovely meltedy-ness of the butter!

Im with leaving the toast cool a bit first.....especially if we are introducing jam to the equation :)

I don't like the butter melted into the toast, never did.

Makes the toast all soggy, in my opinion.

But just the very top layer of the toast. The rest is still crunchy (unless you're using insane amounts of the stuff that's gonna soak the whole way through )

I've always preferred soft food though, like underdone rolls and pizzas... and I deliberately leave my cereal to get soggy :o

I use only a scraping of butter and I find it's still soggy :(

I hate soggy food, can't eat it, turns my stomach.:o

I'm a bit of a sicko when it comes to food, so brace yourself:

    - Cheese & Cheese and Onion Tayto sandwiches

    - Slices of Ham lined up on a plate which I then slather with potato salad and fold

    - Soup and toast. Usually Farmhouse Veg.

    ....I'll get my coat

Raspberry jam spread on digestives

Also potato salad is one that I love but is hard to find the right balance between the delicate mashing of the potatoes and the creamyness of the mayo :pac:

Also everything tastes better with pepper!

I love a bowl of porridge at night with loads of sugar or honey. Yum.
Sometimes I make myself a bowl of custard or make some french toast and fry a few sausages.

If you want something savoury....then it's got to be cheese, relish, carrs crackers (aren't they called water biscuits or something fancy?), crisps and wine.

If you want something sweet, ice cream is the only way to go late at night, with baileys.

And if you've been boozing, I like to take to any leftovers with a spoon....or construct elaborate toasted sandwiches (as in using toast instead of normal bread), always with loads of meat, lettuce and mayo, washed down with 2 or 3 pints of robinsons. Many a morning I've woken up with a hangover and toast crumbs all over the bed :)

Also, I'm absolutely ravenous after reading this thread!
