There should be two disc icons on the main PS3 games menu - Dead Space 2, and underneath 'Dead Space 2 Bonus Content'. Click on the latter and install extraction :)

Make sure you have a while though, file is over 3 gigs in size and takes around fifteen mins to install.

Seems to be the new way of including bonus content - LittleBigPlanet 2 was the first time I saw the two separate disc icons anyway!

You can use your DualShock 3 if you wish, but you still need the Move if you want the best way to play.

And don't forget, once you have the game installed, you still need the disc in the console in order to play it. Just wanted to let you know if you already didn't.

I played through Extraction on Wii, and it is good fun with motion controls, actions have a real sense of oomph to them.

Probably give Extraction a quick whirl with dualshock, but yeah I'd say motion control is the way to go if you can. Still, some nice setpieces if you don't have Move.

jmx009, at the weekend I played a few hours of extraction, which I was really looking forward to mostly to try out the move and because one of the Giantbomb podcasters hinted at a spectacular section within the game.

I didn't like the game that much. It is nothing like Dead Space 1 or 2. Its an on rails system and for the shooting parts the game moves the shooter to a fixed point, in front of which a shootee steps out from behind something 15-20m away, stops, stares at you and then commences to run at you, with maybe a sidestep on the way. Point the move in their general direction and shoot; two shots max will suffice with the plasma cutter. It all feels a bit kiddish! I Doubt that I will play on to find this spectacular moment.

The move feels really good. It suits best for shooting at something a distance away, not as good for up close combat. I think it deserves a better game.
