Sean Haughey has conceded defeat in the Election.
And now for the first time in over 54 years there will not be a Haughey in the Dáil.

This can only be a good thing - no longer should half-arsed 'politicians' or any for that matter be resting on their laurels just because of their name and family.

...can't wait for the rest to fall.

    stolen from another thread:

Two republicans are walking down the road in Belfast when they see a guy standing against a wall.
"An ceapann tú go bhfuil an fear sin san U.V.F.?"
    "Ni ceapaim"

    :D

There's a Healy-Rae dynasty poking its head out of the cow-sh1t in South Kerry, and the Spring dynasty is making a comeback in North Kerry.

Don't forget Michael Healy Rae? Still hanging in there any no doubt has a cross-eyed knuckle-dragging son somewhere waiting to inheirit the cap when the day comes.

His bearded baldy knuckle-dragging brother is waiting in the wings, although he was originally cloned for Healy-Rae body-spares.
