Vodafone in Cork City are doing a porting offer today - port, topup by €20 and get a VF845, C3 or LG Town (??) for free. They had the x10 but its out of stock.

unless you have a minimum of 2 hours to spare to wait to signup and another hour or two to wait for the port to go through don't even bother. i suggest you head in early to have any hope.

o2 have similiar offers with different phones.

i saw it at vodafone and o2 stores in the blanchardstown centre in dublin.

No offers from o2 in Cork. VF was fairly quiet . Took 10 mins in total.

Anyone know what time Vodafone stores close at of a Saturday?

I know it can vary from shop to shop but I've been ringing the local ones in my town and they won't answer and there is zilch info re: opening hours on the Vodafone website.. *sigh

On the off chance I do make it to a store before they close, which phone should I get??

    I'm thinking the VF845?

We were told that the best of the free ones was the Sony Ericsson anyway. Although they were telling people as I was leaving at about half 5 that the offer was over. Could just have been that shop though.

Was told in galway that they will extend the offer till 2moro if they have stock left.

Heard rumors that o2 may have similar offers today and tomorrow. Going to chance my arm at porting over again! :D

This is a big scam on adverts now, there are several for phones for sale now with one guy selling the sim with the credit for €20 and the phone for €80,I have missed out because of people like this so if this is on again can someone post it as early as possible in the day.

It was on in o2 today. I'd say the best way to check is by facebook, that's how I found out about the o2 one and chanced my arm in vodafone (was with o2).

    Also, existing credit isn't transferred.

    The V845.

Not the best out of the box tbh, but i've rooted and stuck a custom ROM on it and its flying it. Even got Angry Birds working on it.

Do you have to change from another company to Vodafone (eg: O2 to Vodafone) or do you top up by a certain amount and then get a free phone?

You've to change network. I was o2 and had to move to vodafone and top up by €20 to get the credit. I didn't want to change, but asked at o2 and was told it's only an offer for new customers.

but yes for new customers. so do you think you could just walk in an apply as a new customer . im not with vodafone nor will i ever be with them unless i grab a deal. unless this is the catch i felt was coming

Is it available in Pavillions is Swords does anyone know?
Also do they have any x10's available?

I can't find any info about these promotions on their websites..

I've also tried ringing them and Blanch store, and no answer, may be because it's Sunday.
