For all you guys with a chrono

    http://www.1728.com/energy.htm

Input grain weight feet per second and it will calculate Energy

    It also does Metric!

Lets see what Energy really is out there

3200 fps required to get a .223 deer legal in Ireland (probably impossible)

    And for you .22-250 guys

Hornady 50 grain Superperformance in a 24" barrel is deer legal!!!!

Test Barrel (24") Velocity (fps) / Energy (ft-lbs)
    MUZZLE 100 200 300 400 500
    4000/1776 3517/1373 3086/1057 2694/806 2334/605 2003/445

No. It's not. Bullet weight must be 55gr or greater.

    Oh yeah, I forgot :D

The 60 grain is over 1700 anyway boys so not to worry.
Although for foxes 50grain Superperformance all the way!

    Superperformance is some ammo

    Anywho!

Very interesting calculator to take the Maths out of it for those who don't like Maths!!

And very useful for thoise who are considering chopping a few inches off their barrel to see how much energy they will lose.

All one needs is a Chrono.

Big thank you to Tomcat220 for Loaning me his :D
