Shampoo/Conditioner for Dry, Limp Hair

I have very straight hair which is quite soft, fine, and limp.. which would be nice, if I had the face shape to suit perfectly straight hair, but I don't; I have a long face and that kind of straightness really drags it down, so I tend to aim for as much volume as I can (within reason, obviously! :pac:).

Since I've started using a hairdryer and curling iron in an effort to pump some iota of volume into my hair, it's gone to bits-- it's uncoloured, but very frizzy after drying/curling. Not really brittle, per se, but annoying!

The problem is, EVERY conditioner I've tried leaves my hair too limp and heavy and even if I can get the volume I want with mousse, hairspray, backcombing and/or the hairdryer/curling iron, it eventually falls over an hour or two (or less if it's windy out!) so by the end of the day I look ridiculous and not at all how I set out looking in the morning.

TL;DR: Is there a (preferably heat defense!) conditioner that exists that will help control the frizziness/keep some level of manageability but not completely weigh down my hair? Or do I have to invest in loads of other additional products?

EDIT: To add, I don't wash my hair every day (every other day) and would use the hairdryer/iron maybe 2-3 times a week, if that'll make any difference.

Hey Liah, I use Aussie volumising shampoo to give my hair the boost it needs and I use the treatment conditioner for frizzy hair to tame it. I blowdry my hair all the time and still have a good bit of boost and shine in my hair, the treatment keeps it soft and tamed too. Works a treat. Boots usually do 3 for 2 on Aussie products too so I always stock up.

    Smells amazing too! :D

There is also a heat defense range too with Aussie and it's affordable, especially with the Boots offers as I mentioned above. For hairspray I use the L'Oreal Elnett range. After blowdrying I spray a bit and brush it through. Keeps it manageable (keeps the strays in place of course) and it's a very light product. That's my tuppence anyway! Hope it helps!

Yeah, Aussie stuff is really good, so I'd also recommend it ;)

my hair was really dry and flat, but I've been using the miracle moist shampoo for about a year now, and also the 3-minute miracle reconstructer which I've been using now for maybe 2-3 months? it's a deep conditioner and works a treat! my hair looks so much better now compared to how it used to look. give it a go, I'd give it my thumps up :D
