    Fantastic player for both club and country. Huge loss if he does miss the World Cup.

    Big loss to SA. Don't really see how it would stop him from going to the North. With some of the players that the French clubs sign, someone of his quality wouldn't have any problems.
    I read that the amount of SA players coming North won't be as great as previous years. With the new backers of the Lions they are pumping money in. They are probably the richest individual backers of any rugby club in the world. Just depends on how much money they want to put in. The other SA clubs will probably need to raise their payments accordingly to hang on to players.

    This and the weak currency rate has made the move less attractive.

    The reports here in SA are all saying he's out of the World Cup, big loss as he's a super player but it is an area the Boks are particularly strong in
