Volvo S40 Radio Code

    I need to enter the radio code using the pre-set buttons but the code contains a 7 and the pre-set buttons are only from 1-6

    Any suggestions most appreciated

    say the code is 6543
    press number 1 six times
    2 five times
    3 four times etc on entering the last digit the radio should switch on.

    Thanks for advice. I had been told to try that. Pressed the first number 6x and it went in as 1111 and ended up locking the radio. I probably should have said it is an older 00 model. Maybe I did it incorrectly? Have to wait a couple hours before system unlocks to try again

    If the first option doesnt work try using the tune buttons eithet side of the m button looks something like this <m> using the arrow button to change the number then press m to move on to the next digit. There were a few different radios in that model s40 but either those options should work
