Seems Fianna Fail only have 8% in Dublin according to the exit poll, While they estimate Fine gael are on 36.1% What does everyone think of our new government? Who else is thrilled to see the likes of Hannafin not being elected again? Pure TV entertainment!

I expect it will be like the final scenes in Animal Farm, where the pigs start taking on human form.

Conor Lenihan is in my constituency and is a useless pri<k, I will be delighted to see him go. And as for Mary Coughlan...

I'd take that with a pinch of salt and their meltdown may be overstated. FF voters are shy and wouldn't have readily admitted voting for them this time. It's a love that dare not speak it's name.

Maybe, but the poll was over 99% accurate in 2007.

'Sinn Fein has not transferred votes into seats as they are not transfer friendly' according to morning Ireland. It's a good day for Irish politics :P

I'll be happy if Mary Coughland and Mary Hanafin go. Two arrogant bints. Oh and It would be great if Willie O'Dea didnt get elected too.

'Two arrogant bints' Well I don't know about the Tarrantino movie but this sounds like a good name for a biography of those two.

It seems they are both going to lose their seats :D

I'm just disappointed Bertie didn't throw his hat into the ring. Would have made my day to see him get the two fingers from the electorate.

Yeah, it looks like the barstool economists didn't bother their holes coming out to vote for them yesterday. So much for "burn the bondholders" :D

They're on course to do worse than FF will :pac:

Thank god he didn't run. A lot of people are stupid and are easily brainwashed and bought and would vote for that god damn awful PR1CK.

You have to understand that there can be very little other options for people in rural area's.
In my constituency of Limerick county we don't even have SF running, and the few independents are either quite right wing or running on a pro life card. It is completely understandable why people feel FF are the best option, because they are often the only option.

Sometimes abstinence or spoiling are just as noble an action...
