Is Kim Bauer the dumbest b!tch on Earth or what?

In the last ten years I've never seen one episode of 24, through all the hype and "Jack Bauer facts", for some reason I just never got into it. I'm sure everyone in this forum has seen at least one episode of it. I haven't even seen a trailer.

Now, I started watching it last week, and I'm now on season 3. And I think I'm going to give up.

Kim Bauer is one dumb b!tch. I hated every scene with her in season 1. Half way into season 2 I actually started to fast forward through her scenes, she was just too facking stupid, getting herself into too much trouble, crying too much, getting in Jacks way calling him every 5 minutes with stupid requests

"COME GET ME NOW"

"I can't honey I'm actually trying to stop a nuclear bomb exploding within the next 20 seconds"

"I DONT CARE JUST COME PICK ME UP AAAGGGHHHH"

and she had absolutely nothing to do with the main plot. She was absolutely pointless and was seemingly just there to annoy the audience. It was actually making me pretty uncomfortable the level of stress it was causing me. Maybe it's because she's so dumb, but I also so rideable at the same time.

Fair enough, everybody makes mistakes, even the daughter of JACK BAUER, but jesus H christ was it the screenwriters intent to have everybody shouting at their TV in a fit of rage telling Kim that she's a dumb b!tch in every episode?

And I know it's not just me, after Season 2 I googled "Kim bauer dumb bitch" and voila there were blogs and threads all over the place complaining about her. "The dumbest character in TV history" according to one blog.

Now I'm watching season 3, and the camera rolls up to somebody tapping away at a computer in CTU headquarters... their back is turned to me, I can't see their face but I can see some blond hair... I'm thinking to myself no... no way this can't be... The chair swivels around and it's none other than that dumb f*&king Kim Bauer. How the FUCK did she get into CTU? She barely has the brains to use a "Fisherprice My First Computer" and she's working for the facking anti terrorist unit?

Now just tell me, before I get into it, is season 3 any good? Or should I just stop right now and delete the whole 24 episodes from my laptop. I actually fell like I'd get more pleasure from smashing my laptop off the wall... but I probably just need to calm down a bit.


(PS. George Mason was an awesome character. I wish he would give Kim a kick into the face then lock her in the cells, but pity he's dead.)

They should have made her fly the plane with the nuke, then i wouldn't have to deal with her inane hissy fits for the rest of the series.

But Season 5 was magnificent.
If you only watch one series, make it this one.
You can skip the others

That's what made me confused, she was a roide, but she was so incredibly thick and annoying. I actually laughed in the first season when her car exploded and supposedly killed her, but then at the same time I didn't want her to die because she had nice boobs.

Yeah OP, shes not in Day 4 onwards except a brief appearance in a few more episodes.


Oh and spoiler alert: A lot of people die towards the end of Day 3...:D
