hey all, just wondering does anyone know of any website posting dissected tracks for the purpose of remixing? or does anyone know of any software for say extracting basslines or synth cords n all that kinda jazz...i know and understand it is highly illegal without permission but most remixes are bootlegs like that anyway....(most of the best remixes TBH)

    cheers in advance

To be honest if you sign up or keep an eye on any music website that covers your area of interest you will see regular postings about remix contests.

I'm currently working on remixes of Commix, Seba, RackNRuin all done officially through various websites.

Tonnes of remixes contests on the go at any one time.

Depends entirely on what you want to remix i suppose. I've remixed hip-hop, house, techno, dnb, jungle and dubstep tunes.

Place like KMag, FactMag, Sonicrouter etc are where i normally trawl for news of remix contests.

Even following Soundcloud on Facebook can be a good idea as they tend to post any remix contests that use their service to host the stems.
