    Hi - looking for help / advice
    warning light came on today - air pollution fault

    does anyone know what this is - is it serious - what can i do to fix same.
    can't locate the car manual - nct due shortly so don't want the car failing over this - any help much appreciated.

    Had the same error before on a 2004 model, turned out to be the inlet manafold not bolted down correctly letting in un-metered air.

    Could also be a number of other things, would be best to get a diagnostic done by a decent Indy...

    Diesel particulate filter :)

    Long spin on a dual carraigeway at 60mph for an hour or so might do it, otherwise a garage might be able to get it to regenerate itself.

    cheers - gonna bring it too my local mechanic get hime to check it out - not bringin it to a main peugeot dealer for obvious reasons.

    Good move. It was the Peugeot main dealer that didn't bolt the manifold back correctly to the one I looked at. Any time it went back for the fault, they reset the light and sent it back out.

    Get the fault codes read otherwise its just idle speculation from everyone here.

    I'm surprised the Lambda sensor hasn't been mentioned yet :D

    Around €200 I think, maybe it can be cleaned.
    Far as I know this warning light is usually the maf

    Computer or hand held code reader. Most mechanics have one and if your friendly with one they *may* do it for free as they know they will be doing the repair anyway

    thanks for the posts - got to the mechanic and get the car hooked up to computer device and get things sorted out hopeefully
