UPC Cable Access Point

Hello. I recently self-installed UPC digital in our house. We have one main access point in the sitting room and a splitter is used to funnel it upstairs, but the signal is too weak to use the digital service. We have an operator coming out tomorrow morning anyway for an unrelated broadband issue and I'm wondering if it'll cost extra to get an access point put in upstairs? Or if there is any other solution. A splitter is used, in the same way, on the other side of the house with no problems, so I'm not sure what the issue is exactly.

    Thanks.
