New album "Nine Types of Light" confirmed for April 12th.
After a long and quiet hiatus, TV On The Radio have executed a sedate return to the scene releasing their newest single with almost zero promotion or fanfare. The experimental Brooklyn indie rock band debuted "Will Do" on Seattle radio station 107.7 The End.

Very much in step with the manner of its release, "Will Do" has an understated confidence. Shying away from the more forefronted squall of the art-rock group's previous releases, the song bounces forward with an easy, soulful sway. TVOTR also announced that their latest album, 'Nine Types of Light' will be released on April 12th; it will be their first release since 2008's 'Dear Science.' Welcome back.

If it's a patch on Dear Science, I'm a happy bunny.

TV On The Radio are my favorite band on the planet... Every one of their albums is amazing (well, unless you count 'OK Calculator', that's um... "interesting"... or stoned nonsense but) everything else they've done is really, really amazing. Do yourself a favour and get stuck in.

saw them in TBMC a few years back, and wasn't blown away, but the sound wasn't great in there. They do have some good live clips online though.....

Got it a few days back, I have only listened to it a couple of times so early days.

Initial impression I don't think its as good as Dear Science but its still one of the best albums released this year and has some outstanding tracks.
