I read that limerick county golf club has shut with debts of €2.5m. What could be done to get it back up and operating, it seems a shame to have a decent golf course with driving range ust sitting their going to waste.

Could Limerick County Council take it on and get more young people playing? Any ideas.

The council couldnt possibly take it over, they already have rathbane, which fits the purpose of serving the community and provides a great outlet for kids in Limerick and starter golfers. From what I hear it's turning into a very good course with the new tee box's etc, so I can't see a reason to take over lk county IMO. Pity though, I can't see it being rescued. It used to be a pain in the Arse when it's wet

I thought it was Limerick City Council that ran Rathbane . . . correct me if I'm wrong.

Just seems a waste, maybe in the year 2020 when we are all millionaire property developers :D
