What do you people recommend as the best boot discs available?

I was looking at the latest version of Hiren's today (V13.1) but when I booted from it in the Mini XP environment it wouldn't run Malwarebytes (included on disc). It said it can't be run in the Mini XP mode but only from the machines main OS?? What's the point in that?

What do you use & would recommend?

Hirens is contains a lot of warez

http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ doesn't have any software that you need a license for ( mostly opensource / free / trial software )

If you want real functinality from a bootable disc consider these
Knoppix - an OS on a CD
Ubuntu - handy if you come from windows, can also install
Backtrack - lots of utils ;)

    @ Capt'n Midnight,

How does the ultimate boot CD compare to UBCD4WIN?

Once upon a time I came home from work to find my windows machine at home had a problem that required a complete windows reinstall and all the apps too cba spending the evening doing that so I just used a linux live CD with stored settings on the local drive. For the next six months.
