    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone would have a picture of an old Irish Press sign?
The local drama group have an old shop in a scene from their new play and want to put up an old sign so if I got a picture I could get the local printers to reproduce it for a wall.
Or even if someone had a picture of any sort of sign that would be 60/70's from the old village shop/hardware/newsagent/everything/etc style place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi beagga,

welcome to the forum. Just a quick note on the forum charter: if you are looking for items to buy/sell you would need to put an ad (it's free) on www.adverts.ie first. Then you can link to the ad here.

If you do find someone who is willing to lend you a sign or swap an item for a sign then this can take place on thread without the use of adverts.

    Best of luck!

    Cheers for the welcome.

Maybe you've picked me up wrong.
I don't want to borrow or buy one as I know they are valuable to the people that have them.
I certainly wouldn't expect someone to lend me one for a drama.
I just need a picture of what one looked like so I can get it reproduced for the play. As it will hang on a wall a good distance back from the general public it doesn't even need to be of good quality.

Do you think I should put up an ad on the adverts.ie site about it?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I understand.

    That's no problem.

It may increase your chances if you also put it up in the wanted section on adverts. More publicity for your request can't hurt ;)
