PDF_new() - Irish Host?

    Hi Folks,

    Anyone know of any Irish hosting company that allows the PHP PDF_new() command? It doesn't work on Hosting365 and they've told me I need dedicated hosting which is ludicrous.

    Is there any other method of creating a PDF? I appreciate the hosts would have space / memory concerns but even a simple PDF created in RAM and sent to the user?

    Many Thanks.

    As I understand it the function is based on PDFLib which isn't a free PHP module. Hence if you want it you need to have your own server and a licence for it.

    I've briefly worked with DOMPDF in the past. It can be quite fiddly - it'll work fine if you're using it in a new site, but you may end up tearing your hair out if you're trying to add PDF functionality to an existing site.

    Thanks Seamus. Its a new build that required PDF, so DOMPDF might be what I'm looking for.

    Your life will probably be simpler on a cloud / virtual solution.
