Can I check if I'm on the voting register?

I know it's leaving it a bit late, but can I check if I'm registered to vote? I didn't receive a polling card, I'm born in the UK but hold an Irish passport, live in Ireland and have a PPS number. Would I be on the register? Can I just turn up with my passport and cast my vote?

Nope, I was hoping they stuck you on the register when you applied for a PPS number or the dole or whatnot. Pretty sure you go on the UK register when you apply for a driver's license.
