Can anyone just walk in and observe or is there some sort of system to control attendance?

The Wicklow count center is just a few minutes walk from me, so I'd be interested to go along at some point over the course of the weekend and see what's going on.

Need a ticket to get in - controlled by the returning officer - normally political parties and agents have them and they are swapped / transferred outside between people. They are not linked to an individual so you can pass them to whomever, but works OK in that it limits the number of onlookers in the center at any one time. Given the number of candidates in Wicklow (each of whom would be entitled to X passes), they could be scarce on the ground though :)

I might stroll down anyway and see if I recognise anyone who'll pass one on for a half hour or so.
