I have been using Federal 100g powershok, and am happy with that.

I have some hornady 95g ballistic tipped which I hope to try out this weekend.

Also I have heard some RFDs have "privi"?? at a fraction of the cost of both of the above - could be good for paper?

i was waiting no more than two and a half weeks for the licence. our local station are excellent and very quick to deal with.

i have used privi in my dads 6.5x55 for deer while i was waiting the couple of weeks and found them very effective and accurate

I would agree with you on the privi stuff.
I bought a box of the 168gr softpoint stuff and It grouped fine and I shot a couple of deer with them to and the did the job without any hassle.
I will try it again. It comes in 150gr sp for .308 and 55gr sp for .223. It's worth a try.

What do you think of the Kaps scopes? I think they are optically equal to S&B.
    Did you get the tactical?

good choice of scope- what did it set you back?

the kaps scope i cant fault them at all clarity is spot on and i would say they are an extremely close second to the swarovski in terms of clarity. i shot my first deer yesterday with the 243. the price i got the scope for was cheap the scope is second hand. had it zeroed in 6 shots
