Horses over jumps

I've been meaning to ask this for a while. How many full horses run over jumps on average?
Reason I'm asking is I was looking at Alderbrook lately. Is sending a colt over jumps not suicide with them being so tempermental? Have any colts recently been running over hurdles?

Very few do it. Alderbrook never jumped a fence though. The risk of them ripping theirselves if they land on a fence is one of the main reasons.

When you say 'ripping' do you mean what I think you do?
