At 08:30 am in Mirpur, Dhaka, Ireland will play Bangladesh, one of the host nations, in their opening fixture in the ICC Cricket World Cup.
Four years ago in the Caribbean the Irish cricketers captured the imagination of the Irish public like never before and this time around we're looking for the Irish public to help them do it again
We are urging everyone in the country, after they have cast their vote at the ballot boxes, to unite behind the team. Last week Cricket Ireland launched a youtube channel – www.youtube.com/cricketirelandtv – and amongst others things it features a variety of Irish celebrities & personalities who have joined in backing the boys in green.
