I found a poptart in my room. Still sealed, bought it sometime early last year.
I want to eat it. It's chocolate fudge sundae flavour. No best before date tough.

    Do poptarts go off?

No. It's stale. Put it in the bin where it belongs. Be responsible.

No, you should be grand, eat away!

Are you sure it doesn't just look like a chocolate fudge sundae, and is actually an apple one??

That's really a question for the bomb squad or else The Rigger, AH's resident authority on all toaster related issues.

If you were expecting blueberry and are lactose intolerant then your luck is in. You might be able to get a fresh one.

It's a poptart, it will outlive us all.

The greatest risk when eating poptarts is over heating them because the inside of a poptart is the hottest substance known to mankind.

Smell it if it smells good eat and if it smells bad still eat. The worst possible thing that could happen is that you could get severe diarrhea or you could die.

I think it should be alright to eat. It might even save your life.

That Carnival Cruise Lines and the U.S. Navy could somehow think that Spam and Pop-Tarts are rescue food is almost unimaginable. You would think they'd be far better off delivering some dried nuts, fresh oranges and superfood drink powders to keep the passengers alive. But no, they're living on Spam and Pop-Tarts.

    dried nuts and fresh oranges?

If I was being rescued, I'd want a poptart.

we need to setup a toilet roll donations fund for the OP after he eats it.... the scutter should be epic and will require a vast supply of toilet roll for the clean up operation

That is a cast iron certainty my friends.

I myself partook of an ancient pop-tart prior to a visit to Electric Picnic some years ago.

On driving towards Naas, got a major pull on the nipsy ,and it displayed all the characteristics of a very unstable round of ordnance.

Also felt very queeeezy so pulled into Lalor's Hotel to effect what i hoped would be a 'controlled explosion'.

The walk from the carpark must have disturbed the load, as I barely got the muzzle cleared, when I hosed a mist of scuttery midden all over the stall.

Bang off her was foul in the extreme and i had to bury the jocks down the S as they caught a lot of the 'blast'.

This backed up the flush so the place was like a disaster area after i left.

Stay away from stale pop-charts cuties.
