Adobe After Effects/Illustrator question

    Is there any way to apply the animated text presets found in After Effects to vector images?

    I am animating a logo with text on it but the text was handmade so I cant just type it into after effects. All I have is the vector image from illustrator.

    import the text/vector as a path and apply the 3effest you would as normal to the path
